Cancellation Policy

Overview

To be eligible for a cancellation refund or rescheduling, you must call REC and have your booking ID, name, email, phone number, original payment method, date of booking, the email with your booking confirmation and the email with your payment confirmation handy.

PLEASE BE AWARE

Late cancellations will receive a PARTIAL refund. Read below for more.

Cancellations (Refunds)

When you cancel a booking with REC 48 hours or more prior to your scheduled deposition, you will be credited a full refund of your total purchase price.

If you booked a stenographic professional with a promotional code, you will receive a refund for the total sale price.

If your refund is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund that was issued by REC yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

If you use a promotional code to book one of our court reporters, you will receive a refund at the sale price.

Sale items and late cancellations

REC reserves and will exercise the right to charge late cancellation fees. Our general late cancellation policy results in a partial refund of $416 out of $516. This is 80.62% of the total. For late cancellations, you will receive a refund equal to 80.62% of the total sale price.

Late cancellation policy

Cancellations are fee-free up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled deposition. If you choose to cancel your scheduled booking within 48 hours of your scheduled proceeding, REC reserves and will exercise the right to charge a late-cancellation fee of up to 19.38% of your total purchase price. Same-day cancellations will incur a minimum fee of $340.56.

REC is a human, employee and client-focused agency, and we understand that there are extenuating circumstances that may result in a cancellation out of your control. In this case, email christopherd@recreportinginc.com with your booking ID, name, email, phone number, original payment method, date of booking, the email with your booking confirmation, the email with your payment confirmation and an explanation of your extenuating circumstance that has resulted in your cancellation. We will reach out to you and work something out.
